Jake Davis Test Shots: Mackintosh x Converse Jack Purcell from Jake Davis on Vimeo.
Having recently purchased a Mackintosh coat I can vouch that they are worth every penny. This stuff is made in Scotland, by hand, and by one person. There aren't a lot of clothing labels that can boast that kind of attention to detail.
I did wonder how the project with Converse would go down - they are both brands with almost iconic status but the fact that they appear to occupy opposite ends of the sartorial spectrum doesn't make them obvious bedfellows.
But the Newfield coat, offered up in three muted shades, is proof that these two go very well together.
And as Chris Gibbs from Union LA demonstrates, it looks even better when worn.
