Hermes iPad sleeve: well covered

I've been looking at Hermes in a different light since that post on the touring workshop. Seeing the efforts that go into producing each piece does offer a different perspective on why this ranks among the more exhorbitantly priced luxury brands.

All the same, I can't help wondering what cost more here - the iPad or the leather sleeve it's sheathed in.

Hermes: taking their show on the road

It can sometimes be difficult to understand what sets the luxury brands so far apart that they charge such a high premium for their goods. This is a point that doesn't seem to have escaped the attention of Hermes who have have taken their manufacturing process on the road to give you an idea of why they charge the prices they do.

The Festival Des Métiers will be touring throughout the whole of 2011 and is currently in Chicago, where Ryan at You Have Broken the Internet went along and took these stunning pictures.
