Carhartt has had a bit of a workover from a couple of the more stylish names in Japanese fashion.
In the space of a day we have been given a taste of the American workwear brand's collaborations with Uniform Experiment and Sophnet.
This isn't the first time Carhartt has looked towards the east for some divine inspiration - it follows on from a partnership with Bathing Ape a year or more ago.

Sophnet x Barbour Bedale jacket: small and waxy
Sophnet and Barbour. Now there's a couple of names you wouldn't expect to hear muttered in the same breath. One is a high-end Japanese brand with a focus on sharp, classic quality garments and the other is a product of the Surrey country set which has only recently woken up to its potential as a major street style player.
The result is this colab Bedale jacket, which for the life of me I can't really tell apart from the original. Save the camo lining.
I would expect the real difference would come with the wearing. Knowing Sophnet sizing, it probably won't fit.

New Sophnet for 2010

Sophnet has delivered another highly covetable collection for spring/summer 2010. A few nice jackets, colabs with Visvim, that kind of thing. Nothing that we haven't come to expect from the Japanese label, nice clean-cut streetwear verging on the preppy side.Although I might swerve that short sleeved brown shirt if I was thinking of going for any of this stuff.
But if you're new to this label be warned. It is made for Japanese children. If you are any larger than a European size medium, you won't even fit into the XL size.
Still it's something nice to look at.
