Iron Man 3 official trailer: the wait begins

After a trailer of the trailer, the official trailer of Iron Man 3 has now been released, and you're going to have to wait until April until it is released. Six months. By which time the hype will have eclipsed even Tony Stark's ego.

Iron Man x Hot Toys collectible: Rock hard advertising hoarding

Might as well stick with Iron Man for another post, get it in before the release of the film in a week or so.

This is a customised Hot Toys collectible, created by Anthony Mestas and is part of the Iron Man x Hot Toys collARTible Expo. Anthony is an artist for Sideshow Collectibles, who have put out some of the more memorable figures of the past.

And given the amount of promotion and product placement this film has been generating even before it has been released, I suppose it's no coincidence that he's chosen to deck this model out with corporate sponsorship from head to toe and a racing paintjob.

Tony Stark would be proud.

ACDC v Iron Man 2 at Rochester Castle: Well hard

ACDC Vs Iron Man 2 - Architectural Projection Mapping on Rochester Castle from seeper on Vimeo.
There aren't many uses for a castle in modern society. The days of knights, barbarians and marauding types are a few centuries behind us, unless you happen to be into role playing.

But they do tend to make imposing backdrops and in the case of Rochester Castle, do a pretty decent job of acting as a projection screen.

And where else would be better suited to a 3D animation film featuring ACDC and Iron Man? It's like that castle had been waiting all its thousand year or so life for this moment.

It must have felt quite comfortable having the place invaded by a bunch of long-haired ruffians again.

Scarlet Johansson in Iron Man 2: Once bitten

In the absence of anything else remotely interesting to post on right now, I bring you Scarlet Johansson in spandex.

This is what she will be wearing when she teams up with Robert Downey Junior to fight baddies in Iron Man 2. Which kind of gives you the impression that while it might be the flattering option, she got the bum deal when the invincible body armour was being dished out. Unless Stark Industries has diversified into womenswear. Three guesses where they'd put the warheads in their Iron Woman suits.

Readers of the Iron Man books would no doubt have a clue as to the role Black Widow plays in the story. With a name like that it's not hard to work out that she's probably got a nasty bite.

Iron Man 2: The second trailer

If they keep going on like this you're not going to need to see the film - you'll be able to watch Iron Man 2 through the trailers. Yup, the Marvel superhero with an Ego the size of Manhattan is back in the second trailer to the second film.

Tony Stark is the man who makes Bruce Wayne look impoverished. This wealth has provided him with "textbook narcissism" (self love) and a fondness for red and gold metal suits. But everybody loves him and the world is a lovely place.

Until Mickey Rourke turns up, complete with robotic lips, torpedo infused eyebrows and a boulder on his shoulder. He seems to have a thing for blokes in metal suits. too. Keeps trying to kill them.

Poor old Tone. It's never easy is it?

Iron Man 2 trailer: Nice suit, let's talk about the colour scheme

You can have your Spiderman and Superman. I prefer my superheros with all their human faculties intact and a bank balance to rival the GDP of a small African country. I want suits of military grade, high tensile, RPG proof material. I want gadgets, I want rockets, a base in the mountains and a leggy PA.

A red and gold suit? What's all that about?

Batman, have a word will you?
