Zero to Sixty at the Corey Helford Gallery: birthday colour

Some stunning artworks went on show at the Corey Helford gallery in Culver City, CA on Friday to celebrate its fifth anniversary. The gallery collated pieces from Todd Schorr, Joe Sorren, Sas & Colin Christian, Ron English, Natalia Fabia, SHAG, D*face, Greg Simkins, David Stoupakis, Kent Williams, Anthony Lister, Luke Chueh, Buff Monster, and Lola to name but a few.

I finer collection of work I have yet to see in one place (actually I have yet to see full stop. I'm in a different continent to this exhibition). But thanks to the power of the web and Fatkids I feel like I was there.

Visvim Skagway Hi Denim: pre-loved

I'm usually on the hunt for my next kicks-fix long before my trainers get to this state, so if like me you are of the box-fresh pristine persuasion it might surprise you to learn that these are the shoe equivalent of ten-year-wash denim.

Seeing as they're Visvim I might be a little more forgiving, especially seeing as they are denim and animal print and do look kind of rock and roll. Not that that's my thing either, really.

So it beats me why I do like the look of them, really.

Conor Harrington: a view from a wall

When Conor Harrington has something to say about the economy he sprays a wall. Can't think of a better medium of communication myself, especially when the result is this piece high up on a building in Dublin.

If you look hard enough you will see that the image features a bull. Or bullocks, I suppose.

Yuketen SS12: think ahead

I know what you're thinking as you sit there in your deck chair sipping your Pimms as the thermostat touches 40 - 'I wonder what the weather will be like this time next year?'

I can't tell you that, but I can give you an idea of the Yuketen collection for this time next year. You could call it a crystal ball, I call it a press release. All the same, take a look at the future.

Girls Friday: Jake hits the spot

Give Jake Davis a camera and a girl and he can turn the naffest brand to come out of America since Von Dutch into something you want to see more of. But don't take my word for it.
