How Jeff Koons does it

Out of all the artists' studios I would like to have a look around, Jeff Koons wouldn't have even figured. I like his work, but I don't really regard him as inspirational to the kind of stuff I churn out.

That was until now. This is Jeff Koons's studio and I know without any shadow of a doubt that if I were to have a proper studio rather than a spare bedroom, it would look like this. Spotlessly clean, everything in its place, more a paint laboratory than a studio. And all those acres of space. An optimum setting for creative activities.

And a whole bunch of helpers running around for you.

None of this wondering where you put your paint brush, or narrowly avoiding painting an arm of a shirt you have hanging out to dry. Imagine the freedom.

Still, a look at the pictures is enough to fire the imagination a bit. Now where did I put that paintbrush?

Andre Drawings exhibition, Colette Paris

Here's a quick peek inside Andre's Drawings exhibition at Colette in Paris. As you can see, he's been let loose on a few surfboards and a couple of beach balls, so maybe there's an underlying Californ.I.A theme going on there.

And in amongst the sea of little people on the wall there, you can just see a little speccy chap about to go under. How's your luck?

Albam explorer jacket: Made for British weather

Buy British. That was going to be my mantra this year, when it came to my wardrobe, but so far the tally is about 50/50 with Japan.

All the same, it's the thought that counts - I just need a bit of persuading. British label Albam is doing a decent job of it so far. Take this explorer jacket. A lovely piece if I ever saw one, and in Teflon coated cotton for that added bit of durability.

Just what you need. And you are supporting the home economy. A win win situation.

Moncler V by Visvim: Bringing taste to the Eurotrash

If you thought Moncler was a label preferred by Eurotrash fools as they mounted a lunchtime raid on the ski lodges of Verbiers you would be correct.

This brand has about as much cache as a pink Juicy Couture jogging suit for me. It signifies all that is crass and vulgar about the winter holidaying elite.

A view evidently not shared by Hiroki Nakamura, which is a shame, because the Visvim founder does occupy a certain pedestal in the style department of my head.

Mind you, he's done Moncler up a treat with this new collaboration. Given it a much-needed bit of Japanese vision.

The puffa jackets are still in evidence, but the whole ensemble is suitably toned down from your typical more-money-than-style offering. More goatherd than ski-nerd.

I kind of wish Hiroki had left Moncler to it.

Peace and tranquility in the heart of London, that's what you need on the walk to work. And a rare moment of sunshine bathing St Katharine Dock. Damn cold though - no matter how I tied that scarf, I still got a draught.

Rain tomorrow, so they say.

Louis Vuitton AW 2010 luggage

Nope, you're not looking at the changing room at Chelsea FC, or a Chinese market stall - this is the latest line of blokes' bags from Louis Vuitton.

You've got to give them their due, Louis Vuitton really do know how to reinvent the wheel. But that's what's made the brand what it is today.

And also why you'll be virtually guaranteed that no matter what you put in it, the bag will still have cost you more than the contents. Unless you're packing conflict diamonds. Or gold bullion.

Stone Island Shadow, SS10

Couple of nice bits from the SS10 Stone Island Shadow collection. The usual fayre - military influences with an urban twist.

In case you didn't know, the Shadow project is a collaboration between Stone Island and the team from Acronym. They complement each other well, even if some of the previous creations have been a bit far out for your average taste.

Looks like they've nailed it this time round though.
