Cambridge to Southend: 76 miles into the wind

I am unsure how it can actually be possible for the wind to blow into your face regardless of which direction you turn, but that seemed to be the case a week ago last Saturday when Nathan and myself took part in the Cam to Coast ride from Cambridge to Southend.

It didn't really matter all that much - the scenery was gorgeous and the tough little climbs took our minds off it.

I finished in five hours 18 minutes, a civilised time really, given the weather.

Thanks loads to all the sponsors. I raised about £160 for the British Heart Foundation.

And thanks to Natasha for taking the picture, above.

  1. It's known as the 'Postman's wind' - which ever way you turn it's still there!
    Good blog by the way.
