Not sure how I feel about this.... I love seeing new Banksy work, it is always poignant, humorous and critical. But is he a sell out! has he turned an art form into a commodity?
ReplyDeleteBut the `culprits' achieve nothing by just defacing it. If you don't like what you see, better it. But judging by there tag.... they will never be able to!
I'm not sure if he is a sell out. Why shouldn't he capitalise on is work? There isn't a graffiti artist in the world that wouldn't want the success he's had.
ReplyDeleteI bet he rues the day he painted over that Robbo piece on the Regent Canal. Would this have happened if it wasn't for that well-publicised incident?
