At a time when Pacman was a breakthrough in video games and any owner of a ZX81 was your street's equivalent of Bill Gates, the original Tron was nothing short of a technological marvel.
I'll be honest. I don't really remember what the film was about. What I do recall is outfits with neon piping, some sort of glow-in-the dark world, and these motorbike-type things that they used to race around on, inside a computer.
What else is there to know? Apart from the fact that a quarter of a century later, they've made a sequel. In 3D, natch. Which promises to be as much the visual spectacle for today's audiences as it was back in the day.
As for the storyline - who cares?
