The trouble is, for the $115 price tag, you could actually get another pair of shoes. But they wouldn't be Visvim.

So which year did you graduate HH? 2000 here... I'm guessing you graduated a lot earlier than that... Did you have the delights of Mr Sutton (Chris Sutton's dad) as your PE teacher?
ReplyDeleteHow odd that someone else who is into "Japanese Streetwear" is from Hellesdon High, thought I'd be the only one... ever. Mind you back then, it was more surf labels, Quiksilver, Billabong, mixed in with River Island, Burtons and Topman. That was pretty fashion forward for the likes of Hellesdon High.
I left in '88. It was a bit different then, more sportswear from Pilch in the City and the odd bit of Armani and Paul Smith from Trumbull's and Philip Browne. It was all about the football then, too, but I've never been able to kick a ball - Mr Sutton was the bane of my life! Was he still there in 2000??? Chris was in the year below me.
ReplyDeleteWith you on the Japanese clothes thing. What makes it even stranger is that to this day I know only one other person who even knows what I'm talking about, and he lives in New York.
Goes to show Hellesdon must have had something going for it!
Graham, what does this stuff actually do.
ReplyDelete- the Visvim cleaning kit, I mean
thanks,
Hey Paul
ReplyDeleteI don't own any of this, but it looks like a leather cream, lotion and a cloth.
Knowing Visvim I would expect it's made of yack's milk, churned by the hands of virgins. If you get any, I'd love to know what it's like.
